Rock Me Gently by M.J. Schiller - TRR ARC Review

Rock Me, GentlyRock Me, Gently by M.J. Schiller

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ROCK ME, GENTLY is a tale of a rock star who gets his world turned upside down when he meets a girl who will change it all. It has love at first sight, sweet and steamy love scenes and a bit of danger to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Josh Dunningham of Money Back Guaranteed is a rock star, and he has been living like a rock star. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll all the way. Women chase him, throw themselves at his feet, leaving no challenge left for him. He's getting bored of the same old, and wonders if it's time for a change. His answer comes in Vegas in the form of a beautiful tequila shooting girl.

Cassie is an ad exec, who's had her heart broken leading to trust issues in herself and in men. She is hesitant when Josh Dunningham hits on her at a bar in Vegas. She is so not that kind of girl. She can admit he's hot for sure, but Cassie is not the one-night stand kind. In spite of her doubts, she follows him up to his room and prepares to have a crazy night of no strings attached sex. She however loses her nerve and leaves him with a note on the pillow and heads back to her hometown of Chicago.

The first chapter of this book really drew me in I liked Cassie and Josh's flirting in Vegas and wondered where it would all lead. When she left him. I was stunned. Is she crazy? But then we find out Cassie has been hurt before and just doesn't have it in her to do a one-night stand even with a hot rocker. But little does she know Josh has decided he is not looking for a one-night stand with her. He is actually looking to explore something real with her, something he has never experienced before even with his own parents....love.

Along the way Josh messes things up with Cassie, he doesn't know how to do emotions. He messes up and then goes above and beyond romance. Pulling the kind of romantic gestures all girls dream of. I loved reading the conversations between Josh and his best friend Ryan when he needs advice on how to deal with his feelings for Cassie. Their brotherly relationship was really endearing. There are also a couple of other problems that come into Cassie and Josh's way that they have no control over, and that's where the danger comes in. I have to say I held my breath waiting to see where the author was going with that part of the story. It was a bit crazy but began to work the more I read.

If you like hot rockers, love at first sight, whirlwind romance give this one a read. It's worth it
